MATERIALS & FINISHES

Bespoke Furniture Materials & Finishes

True luxury begins with engineering-defined material systems. From kiln-dried solid wood to authentic 24k gold leaf, we curate and validate the earth’s finest elements-selected for  beauty, integrity, and permanence.

I. The Foundation

The Soul of Wood: Beech & Mahogany

A masterpiece begins with the substrate. We meticulously select premium European Beech (Fagus sylvatica) and Imported Mahogany (Swietenia spp.) for their exceptional density and refined grain structure—materials capable of sustaining high-relief carving without splintering.

◆ Kiln-Dried Precision

Timber is dried to a strict 8-12% moisture content, engineered to prevent cracking across global climates.

◆ Zero Resin / No PU

We categorically reject composite moldings. Every scroll and leaf is hand-carved from solid timber -never cast, never replicated.

◆ Mortise & Tenon Joinery

Architectural locking systems resist torsional stress and preserve structural rigidity under long-term load.

Quality Protocol

Structural Integrity

Every material must meet our structural, dimensional, and longevity criteria before entering our atelier. Uncompromising standards-for uncompromising ultra-luxury.

01. Timber Density & Grain Orientation

Only slow-growth hardwoods with verified density are approved. Irregular grain or soft cellular structures are rejected to ensure carvings retain crisp definition.

02. Moisture Control & Climate Stability

All timber is kiln-dried to an exact 8–12% moisture content, calibrated for global environments to prevent warping and joint failure.

03. Solid Carving Integrity

Every decorative element is carved from solid wood, preserving structural continuity for generations.

04. Architectural Joinery Standards

Primary frames utilize mortise-and-tenon joinery reinforced with mechanical locking for unified structural performance.

II. The Finish

The Midas Touch: Authentic Gold Leaf

We do not use metallic paint. True royale furniture demands the depth , luminosity, and permanence only genuine metal leaf can provide.

01. Preparation (Gesso)

Multiple layers of gesso and red bole clay create a refined surface that enhances the warmth of gold.

02. Application

Ultra-thin sheets of 24-Karat Gold or Italian Silver Leaf are applied by hand.

03. Burnishing

Surfaces are polished with agate stone to achieve a luminous antique patina.

Time as an Element

Aging, Patina & Longevity

Luxury is not frozen in time — it is designed to mature. At Maison Jade Royale, we engineer materials to evolve beautifully.

01. Gold Leaf vs Metallic Paint

Genuine 24k Gold Leaf retains its depth and luminosity for centuries.

02. Solid Wood Movement Control

Seasonal movement is absorbed structurally through architectural joinery.

03. Leather & Textile Evolution

Full-aniline leather and high-grade velvet develop richer character with age.

04. Serviceability by Design

Traditional craftmanship allows future re-gilding and re-upholstery.

III. The Upholstery

Textiles of Nobility & Comfort

Comfort meets grandeur. We source only the finest textiles, engineered for resilience against lifecycle fatigue.

Royale Velvet

Holland & Sherry grade with high pile density for shimmering depth.

Top-Grain Leather

Italian-imported hides with breathable full-aniline finish.

Custom Output: Clients may supply their own fabric (COM).

Global Engineering

Climate Adaptation

01. Dry & Arid Climates

Timber stabilized through extended kiln cycles with microscopically calibrated joinery.

02. Humid & Coastal Environments

We utilize breathable sealing systems allowing materials to aspirate naturally.

03. Private Villas vs. Hospitality

Residential prioritizes tactile richness; Hospitality integrates reinforced armatures Martindale > 40,000.

04. Export Conditioning

Pre-shipment environmental conditioning with vacuum-sealed protective packing.

IV. The Accents

Stone & Metal: Architecture of Detail

Natural Stone

Imported Italian Carrara, Nero Marquina, or Empress Green.

Lost-Wax Brass

Traditional Cire Perdue casting creates solid, heavyweight fittings.
